need some help with electrics

well is was driving along in my vec the other day and all the dash stuff died ie: speedo rev counter fuel etc.
and the battery fuel and abs lights came on like i didnt have the engine on.
now when i get in the car and start it i have to give it a good rev before i see any dash lights and fo the interior light to go out and so i can use my windows.
could this be just a fuse or could it be worse like the alternator.

if i cannot figure it out i am gunna test all the volts between the alternator and battery.

i really need to sort it tho cause if im not doing hi revs the speedo dont work, so i just dont want to go through a 30 mph speed camera and the speedo aint workin and get done.

yeah sounds like alt fault to me kev, deffo first thing to check

i really think it has summot to do with my reverse light as it dont work any more and when the car is on(running) the abs, battery, and petrol light is on. but when i put it into reverse the only light that is on is the battery but its alot brighter.

haha all this messing around and it was just a fuse
